SBI4U Grade 12 Biology (University)

SBI4U online provides students with the opportunity for in-depth study of the concepts and processes that occur in biological systems. Students will study theory and conduct investigations in the areas of biochemistry, metabolic processes, molecular genetics, homeostasis, and population dynamics. In SBI4U online, emphasis will be placed on the achievement of detailed knowledge and the refinement of skills needed for further study in various branches of the life sciences and related fields. This Biology course prepares students for advanced studies in the sciences through a comprehensive curriculum, whether it’s taken as an in-person class on campus or taken online. Virtual and in-person versions of this class answer the same five essential questions on biochemistry, metabolic processes, molecular genetics, homeostasis, and population dynamics. Both modes of learning offer a solid foundation for university study of the sciences, focusing on theory and research.
